I am having this issue today too (Jun 9, '16). There is something fishy with the way that Chrome is rendering the URL on the backend. When copied it seems to be copying it as if it's copying an html rather than a plain text string. If you copy the URL from the address bar in Chrome and paste in to an Outlook message in a Plain Text email then it'll show up with characters on either end of the URL. If you paste it in to an HTML style message it doesnt appear to psate but if you then switch over to plain text mode you can see it was actually pasting but is invisible in Outlook.
This is happening on my MacBook Pro (2011) with Chrome latest version and Outlook 2011. El Capitan 10.11.5 BUT it is NOT happening on my MacBook Air (2010) with the same OS X Chrome and Outlook versions installed! That suggests that this is neither a Chrome or an Outlook issue. Something is switched on or off on the MacBook Pro that is not in the same state on the MacBook Air but what? I have been searching for fix for this since it first appeared, a week or two ago at most. Spooly 13/6/2016, 6:23 น. If HTML formatting is off by default in the Outlook preferences, paste works.
To transfer Entourage profiles to Outlook for Mac 2016, import profiles data into Outlook 2011 first, and then import Outlook 2011 profile data to Outlook for Mac 2016. See these articles for more information: Import information into Outlook for Mac 2011 and Import email messages, contacts, and other items into Outlook 2016 for Mac. Feb 26, 2016 - In this video tutorial, I'll show you how easy it is to configure Chrome, Safari, and even. Sadly, setting up Safari to open mailto links in Gmail isn't as. Apple's Mac lineup consists of both notebook and desktop computers.
Text appears as not in blue and not underlined. When message is sent recipient will see that as a proper link that works! If URL is pasted into an HTML formatted message it will not show!
From DRAFT menu in OUTLOOK turn off HTML format and the URL will appear, within the symbols and the URL itself in blue and underlined. Turn HTML format back on and the URL is still visible! This does not happen when using Firefox, Safari or Opera browsers. This must be a Chrome issue. Must have been introduced in a recent update.
I am also having this problem and only discovered it in early June 2016. I cannot copy a link from Chrome into an Outlook email - it will not show up. However, if I change the format of the email to be plain text, the links will show up.

I then switch it back to HTML and the links remain. This is really cumbersome though, and I lose all of my formatting. I am working in Version 51.0.2704.84 and am using Outlook 2011 on a mac running yosemite. I can't figure it out and it's frustrating. Glad to see others are having the same issue though and it's probably not my machine. KurtS1 13/6/2016, 10:56 น. As I outlined in my second posting above, the problem belongs to Google's Chrome browser.
It appears one of the updates to version 51 introduced this PASTE issue. Version 50 does not have this issue. I have sent a copy of what I posted here to Google's 'Report an issue' and I suspect that within two years or a solar eclipse whichever comes first, this will be fixed. Safari, Firefox and Opera are not doing this. I have moved back to Firefox and will be looking closely at Opera. The new Opera Developer browser which is available to everyone even includes a FREE VPN function which is worth checking out.

Hi my ginger. Thanks for the response. I'm a bit of a computer dummy but the way I understand your answer, I think you're suggesting that I change my default email program. Like say to gmail.
What I'm looking to do is have Chrome open when I click on a link in, for example, a facebook message linking back to a post I commented on. Also, since you mentioned how to uninstall firefox, I haven't done that because I'm trying to figure out how to export/import my bookmarks from Firefox, into Chrome, when I can't open Firefox. Is that something you could help with? As to importing to chrome. Click on the funny looking box upper right corner that you use to get to settings and scroll down to bookmarks. You will see under bookmarks the option for importing. Then you can go to setting and open and choose to make chrome your primary browser.
As far as mail. Here's what happens. When you open mail using the apple installed mail. You go to preferences in mail under general. You then click on make default email reader and you should seethe apple email and select.
If you click on select, it will open a link in the applications folder to choose a default email reader other than apple mail. You can have two email readers at the same time. Lets say the built in apple mail and chrome. Apple Footer. This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only.
